Julie Mitchell
THERAPEUTIC LIFE COACHING
Hi, I'm Julie, a Therapeutic Coach and Facilitator, and trainee Counsellor/Psychotherapist, supporting adults of all ages from 18 years onwards.
My professional background in Higher Education - providing pastoral support for students, and careers and employability coaching and mentoring - is where I developed a real passion for creating community and supporting others.
I have lived experience of being (late-diagnosed) neurodivergent and what it means to navigate my own challenges in the ableist world we live. I love working with other neurodivergent people, supporting them to find their way in creating a life that allows them to thrive. raising self-awareness and growing self-compassion.

To our work together I will bring empathy, integrity, compassion, and courage.
I am a person-led practitioner, working in partnership with my clients. I am influenced by Gestalt and Existential coaching approaches.
My coaching practice is privilege-informed and trauma-informed, evidence based, research led and guided and shaped by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council's (EMCC) Code of Ethics
I am a reflective practitioner with a passion for, and commitment to, lifelong learning. My postgraduate coaching & mentoring training at Sheffield Hallam University is accredited at Senior Practitioner level by the EMCC.
I regularly engage in coaching supervision for myself and offer supervision to less experienced coaches.
Participating in communities of practice, and learning partnerships, supports my self-growth and ongoing learning.
I am passionate about supporting women to thrive.
In 2018 I founded not-for-profit organisation,
"What a beautiful, raw, evening...really special"
" ...a wonderful night, the speakers were amazing"
" It was life enhancing".

Living in Sheffield in the UK, on the edge of the beautiful Peak District, I can often be found wandering though ancient woodlands, listening to the whispers of wisdom and truth woven into the cycles of seasonal change.
