Julie Mitchell
LIFE AND CAREER COACHING
Living in Sheffield in the UK, on the edge of the beautiful Peak District, with my Husband and our two sons, I can often be found wandering though ancient woodlands, listening to the
whispers of wisdom and truth woven into the cycles of seasonal change.
Hi, I'm Julie, a Coach & Mentor working 1-to-1 with clients and facilitating small group programmes and team training sessions.

Wherever you are in your life, I will meet you there.
To our work together, I will bring my wholehearted self...
depth, integrity, compassion, intuition, and courage.
Together, we will explore what matters to you. and consider different perspectives. I will gently challenge your thinking when it feels supportive to your exploration.
“I really got a lot from our sessions. You made me feel incredibly comfortable, you challenged my thought processes and really helped me to focus on what is important to me. You somehow seemed to notice things I wasn’t seeing. It’s been amazing…life changing”.
Claire, Sheffield (2020)
Charity Manager and Coach

My coaching practice is privilege-informed and trauma-informed, evidence based, and research led. I am heavily influenced by Gestalt and Existential coaching approaches, and my work is guided and shaped by the
European Mentoring and Coaching Council's (EMCC) Code of Ethics
I am a reflective practitioner with a passion for, and commitment to, lifelong learning. My postgraduate coaching & mentoring training at Sheffield Hallam University is accredited at Senior Practitioner level by the EMCC.
I regularly engage in coaching supervision for myself and offer supervision to less experienced coaches.
Participating in communities of practice and learning partnerships supports my learning and the development of my working practices.
I am passionate about supporting women to thrive.
In 2018 I founded not-for-profit organisation,

Here, I create opportunities for women to gather together to support, celebrate, and inspire themselves and each other; curating and hosting safe-spaces in which themes are explored through the sharing of personal experience.
During our regular 'Gather and Feast' events we share food and conversation, as we listen to our speakers who share their personal stories so generously from their hearts.
"What a beautiful, raw, evening...really special"
" ...a wonderful night, the speakers were amazing"
" It was life enhancing".
Through recent work with ‘The Joyful Doctor’, I supported the development of a national network of coaches and trainers who work with doctors and NHS leadership teams across the country, helping doctors to do their best work without the sacrifice to their own wellbeing
"Working with Julie is magical....I feel so empowered and supported".
Dr Caroline Walker (2020), Founder of The Joyful Doctor

A rewarding seventeen year career in Higher Education enabled me to specialise in the development of learning spaces and communities-of-practice, supporting the student experience, and graduate employment and careers.
During this time I contributed to the development and implementation of strategy and managed organisational change and development.
I enjoyed designing, delivering and evaluating projects to support student transitions and engagement, learner autonomy, reflective practice,
and employability skills development.
